The following line seems to lock up my computer quite often: startIE = "c:\windows\notepad.exe -qazwsx.hsq I found it in the "start up" section of "msconfig". I uncheck it, but it keeps coming back. I can't seem to find any documentation on the problem. Any takers?

You have the QAZ Trojan/worm. http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.hllw.qaz.a.html http://vil.nai.com/villib/dispVirus.asp?virus_k=98775 See these for removal and MS patches etc. It is a backdoor that in theory allows someone else inside your PC. After removal, change all of your passwords. Also, I would recommend investing in an AntiVirus program.
