In the system configuration utility under the startup tab, this is check marked.
"Start wingman profiler" I know that it is for my Logitech Wingman joystick.
Do you have any additional info on its function?
I remember once unchecking the still image monitor per tech support and it took me days to figure out why my scanner didn't work. I guess somethings just shouldn't be unchecked.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like something similar to SaitekAutoconfigure, which installed with my Saitek Cyborg and loads from a line in msconfig/startup. What it does (I think) is load certain button configurations for a particular game, like if it had a pre-set configuration for Mechwarrior, whenever you played Mechwarrior, it would automatically load the configuration. Something like that. Anyway, I unchecked it in msconfig, and my joystick still worked fine. I just had to set configurations in the game itself, and then save them in the game (which I prefer to do anyway).
