You don't need any special programs. Just go to start, run, and type in: msconfig
and then go to startup tab, and uncheck anything you don't want starting.

You won't find msconfig.exe in windows 95, so you will have to go on the web and get a startup manager program, such as Startup Cop, which is a very good and aesy to use program.

start - run - regedit
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER]->Software->Microsoft->Windows->Current Version->Run, Run-, RunOnce. On the right hand side, remove anything that you don't want in the startup.
Also: start-run-explorer: My Computer->c:\->Windows->Start Menu->Startup Items on the right hand side, delete any other items that are in there that you don't want to startup.
between these two items, you'll have a clean startup :) hope this helps! -kelly
p.s. if you know someone with win98, you can copy msconfig.exe to a floppy and put it on your computer, even if you are running 95 :)
