StarOffice 5.1 & error finding Java

Comment:
While installing StarOffice 5.1 it came up with a message saying that it didn't find Java Runtime program.
Is it necessary to have this program. Is it possible that Windows 98 does have the program but the installation process for StarOffice didn't see it. Is it essential to have the program for StarOffice to run properly, and if so where would I find the Runtime program.

you need java to run star office, it should be on the star office disc in which case install it before you install star office, if you don't have a disc and you downloaded it, then java runtime program can be downloaded from the sun site (developer of star office) www.sun.com
