srv 2003 read only folder settings

Hi

I'm testing windows server 2003, and find that no matter what I do the default for

all folders under the root are set to read only. If I uncheck this, it just changes

itself back next time I look at the properties. Does anybody know how to get around

this?

That's normal for WinXP and I suspect it's the same for Windows server. It makes sense, because you write to 'files' but not folders.
