Hi,

I am seeing this item called Purity Scan on my PC. My investigations have come up empty and I cannot seem to remove this item:( Has this to do with Spy Bot, which I do want on my PC? The Spy Bot support links are all defunct.

Pl. email, if you can. Thx.

TIA.
Jerry

"Purity Scan" a spyware, linked to another bad guy, "Gator".
"ClickSpring/Purity Scan" - Task Manager program is "WINSERVS.EXE"

To remove the program "ClickSpring/Purity Scan" program:

1. Right click on the "Start" Button in your taskbar.
2. Click on "Explore" menu (2nd menu from top).
3. The"Start Menu" folder should be highlighted.
4. Click on "+" sign next to "Programs" folder.
5. Click on "Startup" folder.
6. Remove the "Winservs" entry.
7. Reboot your system.

And you better get Spybot, and Ad-aware to run a full scan for spywares.
