Spooler error

My pc is a celeron 400 with 128 megs of sdram. I use an epson stylus 460 and when printing get a "spooler error". I tried installing this printer to another pc networked to this one and it prints but there is an error message "communication error etc". I have an intrescan 636 p scanner connected to my pc. Is there any incompatability problem with the twain driver?
