Recently, i put virusscan on customers machiens, it seemed to cause problems in spool32.exe whilst printing, making peoples machines crash. i was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there are any solutions.

Have you gone to RUN and started SFC and replaced spool32.exe ??

Hadn't heard that one regarding a virus protection program causing this. But leading cause of 32exe.problems is generally a driver situation. I would try to update the printer drivers first. As far as SFC goes, system file checker it's dependability is questionable for use depending on the IE version in use for checking. See Microsoft Article Q192832 if IE 5.0 up, possible to replace valid files with originals and problems may ensue. Do scan disk, and check the driver situation but be careful with SFC
