Split pane WE view of folder

On W98, if you go to "Start/Settings/Taskbar & Start Menu/Start Menu Programs/Advanced", it displays "Exploring - Start Menu" as split Windows Explorer panes, with the Start Menu and sub-folders on the left.
Does anyone know how to produce a direct route to this same appearance for a folder of your own choice? I wonder if there is a command, registry tweak, or batch file process that can do this.
Buy System Suite 3.0 by Ontrack. It has several other nifty little programs too.

Thanks for input.
Glad to say I've sussed it, you use the command:
explorer /e,/root,c:\my folder
Now I can use a shortcut to direct this to My Documents without having to suffer W98's annoying habit of reverting randomly to large icons, despite trying all the registry tweaks I could find.
