I have a Sound and Video card both built on my Motherboard, and i want to upgrade to Geforce and SB...is there a way to put those cards in and disable my old video/sound cards?

Your Motherboard manual should give you the jumper settings to disable onboard sound/video and install PCI cards.

You also should be able to disable on board sound/video in Device Manager.
