CPU/Ram: pentuim 2 300mhz 256Mb

help me! I'm using windows 98 on my 2140/2142 IBM Aptiva, and can't get the sound to work. I think i have a Mwave voice modem, but i'm not sure. I have properly installed the hardware, but I don't have the software to get it to work. I've tried everything so far but still no result. Please help me!!!
