hi, I want to play old dos games like duke nukem 3d r little big adventure. I cannot hear any song... I've tired everything I can in the setup. I have a yamaha ds-xg sound card

a lot of newer pc's have a problem with older dos games. 3drealms has files you can download to fix audio problems with their older games. simply put, newer pc's are too fast for older games. download the fix and you should be fine. i think it is called cpu idle or cpu kill or something similar.

Make sure thr volume controls for MDI and CD audio are turned up. Double click the yellow speaker in the systray.

You could try setting up the sound config for your game to use "Sound Blaster Compatible" as the sound device

Make sure that you have an entry in your config.sys file for the soundcard. It has been a long time but it specifys card type, irq, dma, etc. The duke3d directory should have a readme file that tells you eaxctly how to do it.
