I am running Windows 95 on a gateway 2000. Sound card says in device manager cmi8330/c3d. No exclamation points anywhere. I can play .wav files fine but any .midi files locks up the pc with a general protection fault error for some reason everytime. Does anyone know what might be causing it to lock up while playing .midi files.

Thanks

Go to Control Panel>Multimedia and check what is shown under the MIDI tab.
