I have several IBM 300GL computers that I recently got and am fixing them up to donate to a school. I am running windows 98se as operating system and 64 megs RAM. I am needing to put a sound card in them. I was wondering if a simple wave sound card will work. If not, I am looking for an inexpensive card to put in them.(I will need 10). Please let me know.

Pricewatch.com lists several sound cards for under $10.

Unfortunately, the Pricewatch GOTCHA! is that they will ask for something like $10 shipping and handling for EACH card (even if you live down the street.) For price, look for listings of price AND shipping together like at Nextag. Simple wave card will do.

Try a local computer store. They often have boxes of old cards and might even let you have a bunch for free if they're nice!
