You can get this error if another program installs a version of the MFC42.DLL file that is different than what is included in the Microsoft SDK. You can replace the
MFC42.DLL file in the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory with the one that is on the
Web Studio CD:
Go to Start, Shutdown, and select restart in MS-DOS mode. At the Dos Prompt, type:
CD\WINDOWS\SYSTEM ( press ENTER) REN MFC42.DLL MFC42.DLL ( press
ENTER) EXIT (and press ENTER)
When returning to Windows, ignore any messages that may occur. Now go to Start,
Programs, MS-DOS prompt.
At the Dos prompt, type:
COPY D:\WS\MFC42.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM (press ENTER) EXIT ( press
ENTER)
If it still happens after that you'll have to go to Microsoft and get the SDK version of
the MFC42.DLL
An easy way to try is too remove them and reload your program.
