Hey. I have a problem with sound too. Ive recently re installed 98 and since then the sound is all shuddery n sometimes stops n starts. I was told to go to the manufacturers website and download the latest drivers but, I dunno who the manufacturer is!! How do I find out? Pleeeeease help you buddies ;o)

1. Turn your system off.
2. Unplug it from the wall.
3. Wait five minutes for any hot parts to cool off, and for the electricity to diminish.
4. Take the side off the comp case.
5. Pull the sound card out.
6. Write down everything you see on it.
7. Put everything back together.
8. Use a search engine such as Google.com using the info you wrote down to find the website.

or,if you have onboard sound you will need such as Belarc,or if you have installed Direct X you can choose start,Run Type DXDIAG
