Hello ,, Iam using 811 series mother board when ever I install the sound card it come with amessage no sound mixer in addition to that when I start win 98 another message at the beginig says ADIsound max unable to establishlink with ICHVDD can any bod y help thank you

Hi jamal:
The only thing I can think of, is that you might have a on board sound chip (on motherboard) which will need have the dip switch set to off setting. The other thing is that your motherboard doesn't work with the sound card, maybe the drivers are not for Win 98, then look for later drivers. Also check the information in Control Pannel\System\Device Manager to see if there's any problems showing with sound card.

did you have sound before? if you did and you want to put a sound card you must disable the sound in your mother board and then install the new card. If it still does not work try putting the sound card in another pci slot, let us know what happened
