I try to play music or try an get sound, I get a message saying that another device is using the sound card. I don't know what it is taking about. I have gone to the control panel, to multimedia audio, and I can't do anything on the screen because it is not accessible. Does anyone know why this is occuring and how I can get my sound to work again?????? PLEASE HELP!

Check the playback device in multimedia in control panel. Make sure it shows your card.

Do any problem show with the sound card in device manager (Control panel--system--device manager)?

Did you previously have a different sound card installed?
