I have a computer running 98 connected to a computer running Xp, the 98 computer doesn't have any sound but has a sound card, I have tried using the windows 98 cd to install drivers but it can't find any on the cd, how do I find out what drivers I need?

Download, install, and run Everest Home Edition on the machine. (Clean FreeWare) Once it's finished loading and running, look under Computer, Summary, Multimedia, or, under Multimedia, PCI / PnP Audio. This will tell you what sound devices you have available on your system. Post that information.

It's a good day when you learn something
