Is there any body knows if the drivers are the same for the Win95 and Win98 if not please show me where can i found the drivers for Win 98
Tankyou

The drivers should be the same. You can, however, obtain updated drivers from www.soundblaster.com, just in case you don't have the latest.

Can somebody help me?!
I have win98 and sb64awe value.
I can hear midi but when i try to listen to mp3 and wav there's no sound!!
What could be wrong?
Sometimes the whole system hangs when i try to listen to midi. Please answer me as email or here.
I'm a bit desperate now.Thanks

I can't seem to get my sound to work in dos.. is there any special driver or do i just need to put something in my autoexec.bat or config.sys file... help! Thankyou sbawe64

I was wondering the same thing as Matt. www.soundblaster.com has absolutely nothing in the way of win98/dos drivers. I'd like the same thing, so if anyone knows, please help.

i can't get my soundblaster awe64 midi to work in windows 98 plus. it comes up with the hardware being in use or not responding. what should i do?

NO! The drivers for the AWE64 are not the same between Win95 and Win98SE. You need to install the drivers from the Win98Se CD Rom.

i have awe64 and in the book it says I have 3d surround sound availible with this card. Still with me? Good. Now how do I get it to work??

I have the Sound Blaster AWE 64 Gold card but i don't have the CD-ROM with the driver. So, i have a problem with some programmes, for example Net2Phone.
Please, tell where i can find these drivers and downloading for me.

I am having the SAME EXACT problem ESA had...

I have sound blaster awe64 the midi is not working but the wav and mp3 files are. I checked it with win2000 it was working quite well..i wish i could get help some how..

He instalado el Windows Millennium, y no me sale el altavoz en la barra de tarea. quisiera saber si tengo que actualizar el driver SOUND BLASTER AWE64 CREATIVE

I HAVE THE SAME THING AS ESA!!!
Why is this happening!!
e-mail me if you have a solution..Thanks

The problem is that the AWE64 card has only a 32 voice wavetable built onto the card and the other 32 are emulated in software. When the software wavetable is in use, it uses the same output channel that is used by digital audio and the AWE64 doesn't support more than one streamed channel of audio. If you disable the software emulation, which you can do in the software, you can play midi and hear digital audio fine.

Help !! I am having the same problems that Esa, Jaymz, and Thomas G ~ Somebody who reads these boards must recognize this problem, please email me some info if you have any!!! PLEASE

Come on everybody: help us all out ! I have the same problem as Esa, Jaymz, Thomas G and Karma. Symptoms: no wave sound (or stuttering), systems slows down or hangs after playing MIDI (but the souns is fine), CD music is OK. What I have tried so far: checked for IRQ conflicts, put card in different slot, install latest SB drivers (Hey Mr. Creative: are they really compatible with Win98 ????), reinstall Win98, tried another SB AWE64v card which was working fine in another computer, closing all applications (except explorer and systray) then tried to play, tried both 16-bit and 8-bit DMA transfer, ... but nothing, absolutely NOTHING helped ! I was wondering could some kind of a BIOS setting be involved ? Thank you for any other suggestion !
