I'm planning a format and a clean re-install of Windows 98SE. I've run into a problem before with my sound drivers after a reinstall of the OS. Question:What is the best way of going about making sure I have the correct drivers (sound and others) before I format. What I'm asking is how and where should I save them before the format and reinstall of the OS so I can reinstall them later. Thanks, Joe

If the hardware originally came with the computer the drivers should be available on Dell's site. There may, however, be more than one listed. You may need check in device manager to see how the hardware is identified and locate the same items on Dell's site.
If the hardware didn't come with the computer you can run something like Everest to ID it.

it's takes about 2 minutes to register on thier site and I've been able to find drivers for just about everything there.
