i have the sony dcr-trv340e digcam. I cant get windows to see the memory stick in usb or firewire.

In usb mode the extra drive apears in my computer. but windows says it is not formatted and asks if i want it formatted. If I say no, I cant view the files or the memory stick(device). If I say yes windows see's the device as a 5.25 disk and wants to format it to 360k. I even said yes as a laugh to this aND IT WONT FORMAT THE 8MEG CARD.

HELP

THANX

Sony is kindof funny whereas they require you to install the software before ever hooking up the camera.
If you hook up the camera first then you must go through the section of the manual to uninstall everything and start over.

I do suggest to follow the instructions to the letter.

Always remember; 'When in doubt, read the directions'
