hello i recently bought a laptop from a pawn shop,its a sony pcg-f430 excellent condition,but when you turn it on a blue rectangular box appears and says enter password.....i tried putting in a boot floppy but it still goes straight to this screen.........I NEED ADVICE

One sure way is to open the case and find
the "cmos/clock" battery and pull it out
and wait a few minutes. This will clear
the cmos settings and any other custom
settings that might have been made.

are you 100% sure that will work?thats a lot of work if it doesnt work?somebody had told me it was stored in an eprom chip and doing this wouldnt erase the password
