before i formatted my c drive, my sony cd-rw CRX175E work well but after formatted, it cannot burn any cd using NERO, version 5.5.0. under the choose recorder, it only show image recorder.i had install all the drivers, there is no problem in device manager. my o/s is win 98 se. can anyone help me?

Did you try using a win98 Boot disk on it so it installs the drivers for the cd rom drives? You shouldn't have any problems if you used the boot disk. I have a Sony CD-RW CRX140E and I don't have problems like you are saying and I have formatted more times that I care to say.....
