SOLUTION FOR TROJ_KATIEN.A

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GET RID OF THIS TROJAN, I HAVE THE SOLUTION. IT WAS SO SIMPLE I'M SUPRISED NO ONE ELSE THOUGHT OF IT. OF COURSE I SUPPOSED YOU TRIED TO DO THE USUAL THING WHEN YOU CAME UPON A VIRUS, TRIED TO DELETE IT. THEN YOU FOUND OUT THAT DIDN'T WORK. SO YOU HAVE TO WRITE DOWNT HTE LOCATION OF THE VIRUS/TROJAN(dos FORMAT SYTLE) THEN ATTEMPT TO RESTART YOUR COMPUTER TO DOS PROMPT MODE.AND IF IT JUST REBOOTS YOUR COMPUTER BACK TO WINDOWS, LIKE MINE DID, THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THE MANUAL RESTART RIGHT AFTER THE FIRST WINDOWS SPLASHSCREEN(95/98, don"t know if it will work on any other os's) WHEN IT PROMPTS YOU TO CHOOSE BETWEEN "SAFE MODE", "PROMPT" etc, CHOOSE DOS PROMPT ONE, "PROMPT" THEN TYPE CD\ THEN DO A "DIR *.", WHEN YOU FIND THE FILE, TYPE "RENAME . .DIFFERENT FILE EXTENSION, EX *.txt, *.gif, etc). AFTER IF SUCCESFULLY GETS RENAMED, YOU CAN DELETE IT FROM DOS, OR JUST REBOOY, AND DELETE IT FROM WINDOWS.
