I had this program running fine in my computer, then I installed Win98 and it was working fine too, but now this sofware is not working. I try to re-installed from the Win 98 CD, it seems to be that it has been installed, but when I open it nothing happen. The icon for this program is the only thing i have. Because of this I can not set up the volume for the mic. Can somebody give I had with this.

About a 3-6 days ago, the same problem started happening on my computer -- everything else works fine, but WAV files don't play at all -- no games, no "desktop sounds", not even the (annoying) "You've got mail" message from AOL. After monkeying around awhile, I found out that all other types seem to be working (I ran McAffree First Aid on my sound system and found this particular file -- sndvol32.exe -- missing). If anyone can help, please let me know.

hey guys and girls. i had the same problem. my sndvol32.exe file went missing. win98 deteted it when i close the icon. I found out where to get another file. go to lycos.com and search the file. after searched, select advanced search and then search again. once completed select ftp search from the menu and search once more. scroll down the list until you see the file then click on it to download. save it to either on the desktop or in the system folder in wondows. i have mine on my desktop. the only problem with doing it this way is that you cannot setup the sound icon at the bottom of the desktop but will make ALL sounds work by double clicking on it. Once saved it will remain and always function normally. Have fun!
