I was mucking around in the device manager and removed some system devices. I have them all restored ...I thought....but I cannot get my sound to work. I reinstalled my MOBO software with the sound drivers on it evertything is there and says it is working but I cannot get the sound to work....I tried to directly start the sndvol32.exe and nothing happens. I Tried to extract a new one off of the win 98 disc ...didn't work .....I am using a pcchips m810 v7.1c mobo with onboard cpu, sound, lan etc. Does anybody have an idea why I cannot get sound? there is faint clicking on boot up instead of the windows default sound like it is trying to work but nothing happens and the speaker icon is no longer in the sys tray....Tahnks in advance for any help.....Tim
