Comment:

My Sndvol32.exe was disabled after I had merged drive D to C using Partition Magic.
I'm running Win98SE.
The volume control at my taskbar was diappeared and I can't open Sndvol32.exe.
I tried going into Control Panel/Multimedia to enable the preferred device thing, but to no avail and it seems that my sound driver had gone from there.
I tried re-install my sound driver, but it said I had already installed the driver which had already appeared in my Control Panel/System, but not Control Panel/Multimedia.
Can anyone help to resolve this problem? Thank you!

Uninstall Volume Control in Windows setup, reboot and then reinstall it.

wow possum, I just posted this problem, and you had replied me with your solution.
Actually it's my girlfriend's computer, I'll go to her house and try out your solution tomorrow.
Anyway, thank you very much!

The uninstall/reboot/reinstall procedure
didn't work for me....same result: a sndvol32.exe that won't "exe". Any other solutions?
Thanks
