Hi,
When was the last time you defragged and emptied your temporary internet files? That'll help. My best guess is that you probally have a virus or spyware. Download ad-aware 6.0. That'll take care of your spyware. Update your antivirus proggy and do a full virus scan.

Slow IE performance is one of the symptoms of a browser hijacker. You might want to run this:

CWSHREDDER

Had the same problem. Spybot didn't take care of the problem. Does your IE setting homepage switch on you too? You might have a piece of highjack spyware on your system.

Do a search on the net for a program call CWShredder. It is a small download of about 33k zip file. After I ran it, IE was backup to speed!

One thing I might add, that could prevent this happening in the future, is go to your internet option, advanced tab, uncheck Enable Install On Demand (Internet Explorer) and Enable Install On Demand (Other) boxes.
Some website said to do that. Let us know how things turn out.

Unchecking "Enable Install on Demand" is a good idea (to prevent future troubles). At one time I thought it meant when the user demanded, but no, it means others can install without you telling them to.
