Sleep Mode/No Wakeup

Problem started after installing Voodoo Video Card. Computer will go into sleep mode as normal, but will not wake up monitor. If computer goes into sleep mode, I have to shut it down and reboot to get monitor to come on. Win. 98. Compaq/Viewsonic. Thank you very mucn.
First off, do you have a really valid reason for using sleep mode? When it comes to these kinds of things, it's more Window's fault than anything, although the AGP card sure could be at fault as well.
My advice... don't use sleep mode or standby mode or any of that other power management nonsense.

sleep mode was intended for laptops NOT desktops.There is however a patch available from microsoft that cures some(note some)wakeup problems.Try a search on their site and im sure youll find it later jimi

Lynn I had the exact same problem but with different hardware.First I updated Win98 from the Microsoft update site,then I got the latest driver for the video card and installed it and everything works fine.Good luck.
