i have a spare hard drive and was told i can put it into my computer as a slave i just have a few questions.
do i want my slave to be installed with win 98 or just formated and left?
will this speed up my already very slow comp?
please feel free to add any tips as i am a novice with building comps but i'm addicted to fiddling
thanks for your help alex

Hi Alex,
Your slave does not need an Operating System such as Win98 installed.
No, it want speed up your computer.
Mesich

Win98 can be a dog on an old system and old hard drive. If this second hard drive is faster than the current drive, I'd make it the slave at first, transfer the disk image from the existing drive over to it, then make it the master. This program below is great for transferring over the current drive.
