Hello can anybody give me some tips,

I have a celeron 300 with a 100MHZ motherboard and 96 MB internal memory.

But it seems that this system is slowly.
( My 200MHZ system is much quicker)

So I benchmarked my 300 MHZ system with Wintune.
It came up with the message that I have to check my video card (which is a SIS 6326 AGP).
It only generates 13 MBS (Megapixels per second.)

So can anyone give me a tip to solve this problem. Thanks

Ramon

Problem is with on board cache on motherboard. Celerons as a whole dont have
onboard cache except the newer ones with
128 mgs on die. I wont use them just for that
reason. Doutful that your Video Card is slowing your machine.Solution may be to buy
P-2 with 512 cache on board. If its a new
motherboard you wont want to chuck it. If
its slot 370a you will have to use celeron.
If thats the case sell the combo and buy
yourself the real deal- ASUS P2B-F and pentium 2 oem with 512 cache on chip.

The reason is that I specialist in troubleshooting. I will give you a free service just this once.

We employ this VGA card (SIS 6326 4MB - PCI) in our company. Several of the machines that have the card (most are PIIIs on Intel boards) have a very strange problem. Every three or four days, when the user opens a program or logs onto the server, the display "scrambles" (that's the best description I can make) and the machine has to be reset by turning it off and back on. I have not found any literature about this at the (very poorly written) SIS website. I have tried to change color depth and resolution to no avail. I have not heard this problem reported with other types of CPUs and Motherboards (i.e., AMD K6-2 on DFI MBs). . . has anyone else seen this, and if so, is any solution available (short of pulling the card out and replacing it, that is)?
