I got a problem with my SIS 5598 when I try to play janes WWII Fighters. It won't start in the normal mode (the quick flight mode works just fine). Shortly after starting the game a black screen remains (and I have to reset the computer). The problem is already documented at ea's support page - the VGA doesn't support directx (as they say). As I downloaded a new driver from SIS and launched windows95 the complete system got messed up - and I had to reinstall the old driver.
What is the problem here? And how can I fix it?
I'm thankful for every piece of information !!!

I too have the Sis 5598 chip. The driver is definetly the problem. I think that your directX is to old. Update it too version 7.0
If it is still not working. Call your system administrator for help on your P.C . THe adminisrator should fix it for you. If that doesnt work. Buy a new display card.
