Hi, I just purchased a voodoo3 300 pci card. I can't seen to disable my old graphic so it will run the new card. The old card is connected(integrated) to the mother board, there is no way to remove it. Is there a way to work around it? I can't find a way to disable the intergrated card. I tried to delete the adapter from the device manager but it just recognize it again when I restart the computer. I also have window 95. My current connection is the old video card. When I tried to connect my monitor to the new voodoo card, I receive no signal at all. My monitor won't turn on. I can't access to the Bios at all. Please help me out. Thanks

Here is just a guess... I have integrated sound on my MB. If I want to disable the sound, I need to set a particular jumper on the MB. I don't see why this would be any different. Check the documentation that came with your MB or check with the tech support where you bought your computer. Good luck :)

That is probably the problem. You need to get into the BIOS. There is probaby a setting in there that disables the onboard video card. Did you check the entire Motherboard for jumpers? On several of my boards there were jumpers to disable the video, with a printed diagram of the settings needed. They were not always close to each other on the board. If there is nothing like that, then you need to get to your BIOS settings. Try continually pressing "delete" at boot-up. Sometimes it's "Shift-enter". You may need to check the website of the boards manufacturer for instructions.
Hope this helps

You stated you "removed" it in device manager. You cannot remove it, simply disable it in device manager. Then go to add/remove hardware and install your new card. Shutdown, move the monitor cable to the new card and boot-up. Should work.

ok, for this all you should have to do is before you put the vodoo in,firs to go device manager and highlight the intergrated apater in the list, click on properties, look towards the bootom of the propeties window and then it should say something to the effect of 'disable in all hardware profile', check it, the click ok and close device mangager, then shutdown, put the new card in, reboot and install the drives and reboot again.

is the Voodoo a primary display and 3dfx card or a 3dfx passthrough card. Most earlier Voodoo's were only passthrough cards. That is a primary card was needed for normal video and the voodoo was only used for 3dfx effects
