Shutdown prob?

It sounds like you have a reboot loop. This can possibly be corrected by two things. First right click desktop, select properties, click screensaver tab, at the bottom is power management, change setting from standby to always on, apply, OK, shutdown. If this doesn't correct the problem you will need to disable fast shutdown.

If you're using 98 second edition I believe MS has a patch to fix this problem. Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ to see if they have an update to cure this problem for you.

Yep. MS does have a patch file to fix Win98 Second Edition shut down problem. Many people have that problem,too try it See if it helps!
