I keep getting error saying file is missing and shaocvw.dll and comctl32.dll.386
Can anyone help me with this? Please help me!!

Lost .dll and .vxd files
If you know what program it came from reinstall that program. IF you have Win 98, go to Start> Programs> Accessories> System tools> System Information> click tools, then System File checker. Click Extract one file from installation disk. Type in the file's name, then click start. If Windows has it, Win should find and replace it.
If you have Win95, see if you can find it on the Win 95 CDROM with CAB Extractor, available from ZDNet’s Hotfiles.
If your computer works without any problems you can just remove references to that file in the Registry and System.ini file. To do that select Start> Run, type in System.ini and click OK. Now find all references to "file name".vxd or .dll and remove them. Save changes and close Notepad. Now select Start> Run, type in Regedit and click OK. Find any references to the file, go Edit menu> find> type its name and remove them (To find 1st occurrence use Ctrl+F combination and to find next occurrences use F3 key.) Close Registry Editor and reboot windows.

I think ende is right.
You're probably missing those files from a sloppy uninstall, and they're still in the win.ini or sys.ini.
If Windows works fine, you can just ignore it, but it does get annoying after a while.
If you remember which program they are from (comctl.32 sounds like a modem file or network file), there are 2 options.
If you can find those files (search your comp for that filename, it might simply have been moved, as windows only looks in the path for files it needs) and stick it where it wants it. Kinda messy too, but it'll find it and won't bug you again.
2 is to remove it from your registry and .ini files. This is a little more work, but a better way to get it out for good.
The easiest way would be to reinstall whatever program they are from and then reuninstall it using a decent, clean uninstall program, as this would take all the crud left over with it.
They other way would be to search through all your system files and remove all references to that dead program.

hm. seems like windows95-98 system files to
me, they are installed with windows, and
as the other already told you, you have to
reinstall windows, or extract the files missing from the cd, or get them on the Internet.

ShekharP.S.I use IE5.0
