Have you enabled "Sharing" in Network properties for your PC?

To share out a resource on a 95 or 98 PC check and make sure that file and print sharing is setup on your PC. To do this right click Network Neighborhood and click on Properties. Click the File&Print sharing button and make sure that the box for Sharing Files is checked. Click OK (twice if I remember). The PC will need to reboot after this is setup. If the Sharing Files box is already checked just cancel out of the window.
Next you need to open My Computer and right click on the C: drive and click on sharing. Select the level of sharing you want and a password if you want. Once it's setup you will see a hand under the C: drive in My Computer.

Angela -- the "sharing" tab in drive C properties won't show up unless you have activated File and Print sharing in Network properties, which is why I asked my question.

Before you share your drive, make sure you really need to. If your network has an Internet connection, you could be asking for all kinds of problems when you activate shares like that. Worms are looking for open network shares and opaserv is a huge problem these days. It is never a good idea to share your c drive period. Share a specific folder instead and make sure you use password protection on it. Preferably make it 'read-only' access and when you choose a password make it 4 letters or more and something hard to guess (preferably use numbers and letters in combination). Lastly, you really should have firewall protection if not on your network server then on each workstation. Just some tips for you...

Angela, as stated above, there can be some serious security problems if you share your C: drive. If you decide that you need to do it anyway, make the share "Read Only." Then create a new folder, shared with Full Access, & have your other computers only use this folder to write to this computer.
