Well, it's a little problem but it probably involves writing a batch file and I don't know many things about this. Here is the situation :
I have a PC (Win98 SE), which acts as a server, with 2 shared hard disks. On another PC (Win98 SE) in the network, I need to run a DOS-program and that DOS-program is on the C disk of the server. That C disk is shared as F. The thing that's missing is that this F disk should appear on the second PC in the My Computer screen. I have heard that this can be done with a batch file.
Now I would like to know how to do this (or another way). It's not good enough that I can find the F disk on the Network screen, no, this F disk (the shared C disk on PC1) has to appear on the My Computer screen of PC2.
So please, help me.

I believe what you are referring to is mapping of a network drive. This can be done from the machine that you want the mapped drive to appear on. The server must share that drive of course. Simply go to the C: disk on the server and instruct you machine to map that drive. Go to network neighborhood and find the C: drive and highlight it. Left click the file tab in the same box and an option to map drive will appear. The default drive letter will be the next letter available on you machine, but a higher letter can be selected if necessary for a program to work. As long as the server is up the drive will stay mapped.
