Hello Fellow Expert, Good day to every one out there, hope you guys/girls can help me on this :- i am having a printer(epson epl-5900) connected to a P4 256mb machine and share as epsonepl,sometime the computer which is a P3 256mb is having problem printing when it does it as for a password, and i didnt put any password at all, It is very strange because it sometime funtion normally, Hopefully this is enough info and thanks in advance for the help, Best regards, Vincent

Check your intalled printers to see if the printer in question is listed twice. If so, remove both and reboot. Then reinstall the printer. In your network settings there are two choices for sharing. User level and share level. I think you may have the bullet for user level checked. Try share level instead. Of course file and print sharing must be enabled.

Hi OtheHill, Thank for the suggestion but i have try it and it does not work,there's a pop up say "user intervention needed" and asking for pass word, I am sorry i didnt give enough info, allow me to explain it, i have a epson printer connected to a P4 machnie(WINXP) and there's a WIN(* Machine trying to print to it, it sometimes allow me to print but when it doesent, it will ask for password, Please help thanks a million, Best regards, Vincent
