on a current system you should not need to use setver. unles you are using a very old program that requires a specific version of dos. setver is usually called from a config.sys file in the root directory. open windows explorer, find the file config.sys opent config.sys with notepad (not word or wordpad) and add "rem " (rem and a space) at the start of the line that calls setver.exe.. eg: rem c:\windows\setver.exe HTH Chappie
