setting Dword values in regedit!!

i am trying to enable cpu priority in registry.i add the key, go to add the dword value,decimal 1,exit.go back in to regedit & it is back to a hexadecimal.any help appreciated

The values 0-9 are the same in decimal and hexadecimal, until you reach 10 decimal which is 'a' hexadecimal.

its fine, all dwords are in hex but I believe the decimal version is also shown after the hex in ()
