Is it possible to have a serial connection on com1 of your computer going to two different programs at the same time? Or even to put a y connection(splitter) on the serial connection & route it to serial ports on a win95 machine? Thanks for any help that you can give!

The answer is yes and no. If all of the data is going one way from the computer with the Y to two other computers it will work provided there is not too much voltage drop on the dual line. If there are two way data transfers, the program receiving the data from the two other computers would have to figure out which one is sending at any given time. In either case, the cable to the Y connector would have to go through a direct-connect adapter or be wired to accomplis the same result.
