When attempting to defrag via: programs>accessories>system tools, I am not sent there. Rather I am forwarded to the C:\directory. But I am allowed to use the defrag through [C:]Properties>Tools. Not a major catastrophe, just an annoyance. Would like to correct it, if it is not too complicated. Thanks,

Hi JimmieC, hello everyone,
Go to the System Tools via Startup and Accessories.
Right click on Disk Defragmentor and select Properties.
Ensure next to target is C:\WINDOWS\DEFRAG.EXE

Mesich, thanks for the response. The target shows C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.exe. I think I may have been the culprit behind this snafu. It didn't crop up until after I installed the WinME defrag tool. Thanks again.

I didn't have any problem after installing the WinME defrag program. But of course I wanted to make sure that it was the only defrag program on the pc so before I installed it I went into windows and deleted the defrag.exe. WinME defrag only renames it, but I deleted it and now if you click on C/properties it defrags with WinME defrag.
