i set up a second user by going to the control panel and clicking the "user" icon. i have since deleted that user but i am still prompted to 'select user' at startup. there is nothing to select in the dialogue box so you simply have to click cancel and windows will continue to start. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE IT STOP PROMPTING ME TO SELECT USER WOULD BE APPRECIATED. Thanks in andvace everyone.

Start, Settings, Control panel, Network.
Change Primary network Logon to
Windows logon. Click Ok.
