LangaList Edition 2002-11-186) Two Reader-Crafted Freeware Updates
We've mentioned Search Bar many times in the past. It's a free custom search bar for your desktop, created by LangaList reader Patrick Deal,
that lets you instantly access any major search engine without having to first open your browser. I use my copy literally every day.

Hey Fred! Just thought I'd let you get a sneak peek at an addon I'm working on for Search Bar 1.1. Basically, it lets you add search engines to the right-click context-menu in
Internet Explorer. Let's say you're surfing around the net and find something you want to search for. Normally, you'd select the text, right-click and copy, then paste it into Search Bar.
With this addon, you just select the text, right-click and choose one of the search engines and it does the search. You can check out the web page I put up for it at http://www.searchbarpro.com/sb11ieaddon.asp
Thank you,
Patrick Deal
End -----Although I do not use the searchbar itself the addon is excellent. You do need to have SearchBar in order to have the Addon.
I have mine set to add 'Search on Google' and 'Search on MS Support' to the right click menu. You do not need to have the SearchBar running or in your startups or anything else.
It works quite excellently for providing answers on this board.
I also downloaded and installed the other addons (for possible later use).
Hope you all like it as much as I do.
Bryan

Just now read the post while hunting an answer for something else. Love the add on. I have the IE Web Accessories Tools already which lets you search the web, but only through a default search engine.
I don't use very many downloads but this one is a jewel.
Thanks for the info.
