Go to Start,Run type regedit and press enter. follow this path. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RUN Double click on the RUN folder and look for a line with the Name ScanRegistry and the Data "C:\WINDOWS\scanregw.exe /autorun" If you don't have this line you will need to create it and then reboot and you are back to normal.

If you removed it using msconfig, you can add it back with msconfig.
