SCANREGW.EXE accessig internet?

ZoneAlarm just notified me that SCANREGW.exe was trying to access the internet. Does anybody know why SCANREG would want to access the internet, or , for that matter, how?

It's a worm virus known as W32/Stator.worm, W32.Stator@mm, I-Worm.Stator and W32/Stator. The genuine SCANREGW.exe has been renamed to SCANREGW.VXD http://vil.mcafee.com/dispVirus.asp?virus_k=99075 http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.stator@mm.html
