I have try two differant brands of scanner that connect to the parallel port. I have not been able to get either one to work so it must be my syster which is a maching from directwave. Any sugestion other than going to a scanner with it own card?

Hi,
I'm not sure but scaners need bidirectional port to work. In CMOS setup make sure you LPT port set to EPP/SPP mode (or try other options except of Normal). But if you have old type I/O card with LPT port I think you will not be able to use your scaner.
Good luck, Igor M
