Hi friends,
a very basic question. just wanted to know the difference between scandisk and chkdsk. both seem to me as good disk check and repair utilities from windows. however, i don't know the difference between them. is scandisk more reliable than chkdsk, pls explain and if possible give links for more info.
Not sure where to find references comparing them, but the short answer is scandisk is the newer version of chkdsk which was the original version. Scandisk is not necessarily "more reliable", but is more efficient (works better, faster).
