santa's workshop pc game ~1995

November 30, 2012 at 18:42:04
Specs: Windows Vista

I would love to find this game again. I played it around '95 or '96. It was a pretty small game on the computer. You were an elf and you had to put together toys as they came off the assembly line. If you missed one, santa would beat you with his belt. If you missed too many, he'd beat you into submission and the game would end. Does anyone know of that game? Thanks.

... if Santa is the good guy I wonder what the bad ones are like.

Had a look through my old demo disks of that era - no dice.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Was the game called "santa's workshop" or is that just your description?

Unfortunately a web search and eBay search didn't turn up anything.

However, I did find open source Santa game that's free and works on Windows 95 and later. Open Source under the GNU GPLv3 software license. Originally released in 1994 and remastered in November 2012, according to the website:

MICHAEL HARDY'S SANTA CLAUS! - MICROSOFT WINDOWS COMPUTER GAME!

The file is X-Mas-Game-Setup.exe

I found this and ran it:

It does show santa beating the elf who doesn't get the toy put together correctly. It's not very sophisticated--more like a 1980's dos game.
